See: Charles Howl releases self-directed video for Meet Lou’s Needs

“I love Lou Reed but I don’t want to see shit imitations of him every time I go see a show or after party,” say musician and filmmaker Danny Nellis, aka Charles Howl of his song Meet Lou’s Needs, taken from his latest album My Idol Family. It’s lush, orchestral pop music, swathed in organ and slightly psychedelic leanings. It’s slightly blurry, obscured by this echoey hue that rides over the track, but it doesn’t get in the way of the off-kilted hooks, which keep you hooked from beginning to end.

Check out the self directed accompanying video below, from Nellis, who in the past has made videos for the likes of Virginia Wing, Let’s Wrestle, Cymbals and most recently, a series of videos for Moshi Moshi’s Wesley Patrick Gonzales.
