See: Even as we speak release new video for ‘Someone’

Taken from their forthcoming ‘Adelphi’ album, out on July 24th via Shelflife Records, legendary Australian indie-pop band Even as we Speak have released a new video for the track ‘Someone’. The band formed back in 1986 in Sydney and released records on the infamous Sarah label, did three John Peel Sessions and game crashed indie charts all over place, before splitting in 1993. Reconvening in 2016 after a request from New York Pop Fest, the band have been active ever since.

Someone quickly breaks its electro shackles and reveals its true indie self, with splashes of this slightly funky guitar. There’s a melancholy about the track, but it never feels sad, instead seemingly floating across your ears, allowing you to fall for it. Throw in this machine gun guitar conversing with a sweet, innocent sounding synth line, and you’ve about covered all bases.
