See: Fenir release new video for “Bones” and announce UK tour dates

Ipswich rockers Fenrir are back with a a new EP, The Rise, which drops on September 21st. As guitarist Mike Cockayne explains “Its been 2 years since our last record and although we’ve released 2 separate singles since then we think this EP really shows a distinct progression. More than anything it’s more refined than our older songs and it really shows what we’re all about.”

Sitting somewhere alongside the likes of Mallory Knox and Alexisonfire is the first single from the EP, Bones. Pulsating drums press on through the initial sour chords, before the licks become more melodic and the riffs are cranked up. There’s a certain melancholy about the track, and vocals alternate between these straight up rock vocals and the throaty demands in the chorus, but it works, largely due to the prevalence of a melody its easy to fall for.

Check out the video for the track, directed by Jake Ringsell, who describes it as ‘A father and son exist at the end of the world and watch the moon shatter over the ocean.’

Catch the band on tour in the UK in September. Details below.
