Next week see’s one of the truly iconic bands of the last 30 years, James, return to what they do best, playing live.
The Manchester legends have been responsible for releasing some of the best known and best loved tunes of the past 30 years. This year saw them release their 14th studio album, ‘La Petite Mort’ and already tracks such as ‘Moving On’ and ‘Frozen Mort’ are been added to the long list of James classics.
‘All I’m Saying’ is the latest single to be taken from the album and the band have just released the video to go with it. Filmed in stop motion, it’s the creation of gifted Hungarian animator Péter Vácz – responsible for the award winning ‘Rabbit & Deer’. It should just about tide you over before you get to see them live …
Renowned for delivering one of the best live performances around – and having seen them a few times I can personally attest to this – I’ll never forget seeing Tim Booth freak out security staff and band mates when he left the stage to climb through the seats, up the rigging and along the ledges at Manchester Arena, to climb into the VIP box where his mum was sitting, to give her a kiss.
James on tour is BIG news.
Lead singer Tim Booth says, “We feel we’ve made one of our strongest albums in La Petite Mort and are “dying” to reveal our live take on it to you on this tour along with a few other familiar faces.In James tradition we are very happy to have a great opening act in Starsailor – so come early, put on your glad rags and make a great night of it; we will be.”
Starsailor frontman James Walsh had this to say “We are really excited and honoured that James have asked us to support them on their forthcoming tour. We have been on hiatus for a number of years now so it’s great to return to the live arena alongside such an iconic band.”
