See: Kytes release new video for Inner Cinema

Munich indie poppers Kytes, aka Michael Spieler (Vocals/guitar), Timothy Lush (Drums), Kerim Öke (Guitar/synths) and Thomas Sedlacek (Bass), mark their arrival with a debut single ‘Inner Cinema’, self released on June 15th. Written last summer and recorded earlier in the year, drummer Lush describes it as “an uplifting song, with a driving beat, one that gives you a little break from reality. The songs title makes it clear that we all have our own film running in our heads, be it fiction or fantasy. It’s the cinema inside our own head keeps us all pretty busy.”

It’s got this boundless optimism about it, as it bounces on with a sound that has suited the likes of Darwin Deez / The Wombats / Maximo Park down to the ground. There’s a little doses of this almost static organ that catches your ear as it twists and turns, full of mathy guitar work alongside throbbing basses and this abrupt arty nature about it. Best of all is the melodies that are frankly just about as catchy as we’ve heard all year.
