See: Lime Cordiale release official video for ‘No Plans to Make Plans’ + Australian Tour

Safari suited swagger with an important message (and can we please not forget the wazoo interlude)

Gearing up for their biggest ever Australian tour this October, Lime Cordiale have unveiled the official video for new single No Plans to Make Plans via Chugg Music. A visually vintage jaunt, the Leimbach brothers – accompanied by Summer Kane – go up against their alternate, evil selves ‘Oscar and Leroy Slimebach’ in the clip, directed by long-standing Cordiale collaborator Tim Swallow. Joined by their live band members James Jennings, Nick Polovineo and Felix Bornholdt, the performance packs all the safari-suited swagger we could hope for (and includes the best wazoo interlude we’ve heard in a while).

The video brings home the wake-up slap of a message to self-absorbed types who act like they fight for what’s right, but only make a difference in their head : “You’re making a stand, but not standing up.” The track grooves along like a cruisy afternoon around a motel pool; catchy and clever. It is a message with meaning, wrapped in sustainable fashion.

No Plans to Make Plans was never intended to be a single when we released the album. Our audience grabbed a hold of it and it somehow turned into a single on its own.” – Oli Leimbach

Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Lime Cordiale have had an incredible year. Their second album 14 Steps To A Better You topped the ARIA Album Chart on release last July (also receiving eight ARIA Award nominations), making them the most-nominated act of 2020 and landing them a debut ARIA Award for Best Breakthrough Artist. With millions of music streams and growing, the band is on a fast rise. They’ve supported Tones & I across North America, and in 2019 played to over 30,000 fans around Australia alone.
