Long time admirers of Maxïmo Park as we are, we’re delighted to share the latest slice of their upcoming album Nature Always Wins (out February 26th via Prolifica Inc.) in the shape of a new video for ‘All Of Me’.

Lead singer Paul Smith details the song: “It’s a love song about the power of song itself, buoyed by the uplifting music in the chorus. It’s also about domesticity and family life being valid subject matter for a pop song. The more intimate verses are bits of advice to someone who has changed your perspective on life. Big themes!” Of the accompanying video he continues: “Both the quiet verses and the anthemic choruses are reflected (pun intended) in the video, which was influenced by an intimate film of Arthur Russell playing cello, as well as Bruce Lee flighting within a hall of mirrors in Enter The Dragon!”

It’s basically a thrilling slice of day-glo, wonky yet impossibly catchy indie rock. It’s built on these brassy synth lines and harmonies, as is the way of things, but they band manage to still get a sense of this melancholy even amongst the most uplifting of tracks. Which this is.

It’s accompanied by a video which sees the boys in matching outfits, performing the song in all its glory. Check it out, here
