Norwegian based, by way of New York, Lazy Queen have just released the visuals for their new single of delicious DIY alt-rock, or is it punk? – Bed/Head, taken from the quartets forthcoming EP ‘A Human Reaction’, out on March 18th Icons Creating Evil Art.

Of the track, band leader Henrik García Søberg, says “Bed/Head is what your room smells when you haven’t gotten out of bed for a week straight. It’s feeling like your friends have forgotten you exist, and you’ve given them every reason to. It’s forgetting the sound of your own voice. It’s isolation and looking for a way out. It’s also a noisy pop song.”

Starting with these synth arpeggios and drum machine it seems to hint at something or a change of direction, before it gets hit with this train of punk, bringing these big riffs and bigger drum patterns as it accelerates immediately into something….huge. The synths come back in in the chorus, but this time accompanied by the sort of tunes and harmonies that make you lick your lips, so delicious are they.

The accompanying video draws from true life, in places, as well as fantasy and pretty much any other sort of existence judging by it, but somehow it seems like the perfect thing to crash your way through the track to.
