See: Pale Waves release video for New Year’s Eve / announce North American tour, plus UK/EU dates

Manchester three piece Pale Waves have today been announced as part of the prestigious BBC Sound of 2018 Shortlist, taking the #5 spot. It the latest in a spectaular year for the band, who have been the toast of tastemaker town (I just thought of that, is it too cheesy) with much expected of their All the things I never said EP. Taken from it is the frankly rather lovely New Year’s Eve, a torch song for the drainpipe jeans generation of indie followers, awash with a mixture of electro, melancholy (‘I don’t want to be alone on New Year’s Eve, do you even wanna be with me’ pleads Heather) and infectious melody that’s as close to irresistable as you’ll find on a cold January day.
