SEE: Prints in the Snow – ‘Killing Me’

THE NEW single from four-piece Prints In The Snow is a haunting hit for this time of Hallowe’en.

The track is what you would expect from a four-piece who have seemingly been summoned from the mid-1990s’ heyday of BritPop: energetic guitars, ferocious drums and powerful vocals make for a barnstorming tune.

Prints in the Snow, left to right: Mark Waudby, Laurie Armitt, Catherine Preston and Dave Simpson

The four-piece hail from the Yorkshire cities of York and Leeds and comprise of Laurie Armitt, Catherine Preston, noted music journalist Dave Simpson and Mark Waudby.

Indebted to earnest troubadours such as Billy Bragg and Richard Hawley, the band released Nothing’s Lost to some acclaim in April, during the first lockdown.

The band make music for connoisseurs in all its faded, imperfect glory. It’s a song requiring reflection and contemplation, perfect for this period; a small masterpiece eager for a larger audience.
