See: Sam Evian shares new video for ‘You, Forever’, plus UK tour dates

Sam Evian — AKA New York-based musician, songwriter, and producer Sam Owens — will release his new album You, Forever on 1st June 2018 via Saddle Creek.
Following the release of lead single “Health Machine” and album opener “IDGAF”, today Sam presents two new songs: the fleeting, nimble driving “Country” and slow burning “You Forever” with an accompanying video starring Sam’s sibling Zannie skateboarding the streets of New York City.
“You, Forever”, the title track from the new album, tumbled out of Sam in a sequence he labels, “Man falls. Hits head on sidewalk. Wakes up with song.”
“A few years back, I had a prolific week of writing after I fell on some icy concrete and smacked my head on a steel grate. I’m sure I sustained some sort of concussion, which left me feeling pretty lucid. I had been thinking about Bowie a lot, and decided to try and write something with a ‘Rock and Roll Suicide’ kinda vibe. ‘You, Forever’ just tumbled out of my head, lyrics, melody and all. It was kind of stream of consciousness, which is rare for me. I shelved the song and forgot about it, but dug it out when I was preparing to make this record. It was exciting to sing the words again. They felt more potent than I remembered, but still had the charm of a nice head injury. ‘If you’re anxious, If you’re worn, if you’re keeping to yourself on the telephone’ …who isn’t?”
‘You, Forever’ is a bluesy, soft rock journey. Sam Evian is clearly talented, the guitar work alone and beast of a solo showcase that perfectly.
