See: Savages announce tour details

Savages. You had us with your darkly brilliant debut album. All that post-punk Magazine and Gang of Four type stuff, dragged into the modern, and given that feminine touch. Somehow it seemed somewhat cooler, somewhat darker that their predecessors. Certainly it got us and a lot of other observers excited about it.

Savages themselves formed in 2011 in London, with guitar player Gemma Thompson talking to the bands French singer Jehnny Beth about the project with the name already in place. With the rest of the band in place in the shape of bassist Ayse Hassan and drummer Fay Milton, they jumped straight in to the deep end, supporting British Sea Power. http://backseatmafia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

From there, the band has since released a couple of singles and an ep on their own Pop Noire label, gone out and took their intense and affecting live shows far and wide, including well received performances in New York and at this years Coachella festival.

Just back from appearing at the Reading and Leeds festivals, Savages have now announced a major UK headline tour for November, which is preceeded by 23 dates across in America with Queens of the Stone Age. The dates will include their biggest headline show yet, at the Forum in London.
