See: Seablite release new video for There Were Only Shadows

Ahead of their debut album Grass Stains and Novocaines, out via Emotional Response on June 6th, Bay Area shoegazers Seablite have released a new video for the track ‘There were only Shadows’.

The four piece, made up of three girls and one boy, have a real DIY aesthetic that wears its heart proudly on its sleeve in ‘There were only Shadows’, which owes as much to Sarah Records as it does to the likes of Lush and the Pale Saints. The vocals are draped over these guitars which veer between jangly and clear and heavier murkier noise liberally painted over the track. What really makes this song though, is the melancholy in the melody that pulls those heart strings so taught its hard to breathe.

Check out the Jenn Heard filmed accompanying video, which could have been the visuals to anything from Loop to he Catherine Wheel. Really, that good.
