See: The Knux reveal new video for “Mirage”

You might remember New Orleans alt-rappers The Knux from the late noughties sharing management with Eminem and releasing a couple of albums, Remind me in three days…, and Eraser, and working with rap heavyweights such as Common, Nas, Kid Cudi and Q-Tip. Now the brothers – Kentrell “Krispy” Lindsey and Alvin “Joey” Lindsey, are back with a new album, Eleven.

Taken from the new album, Mirage has this echoey, almost trippy vibe. Produced by The Knux, with co-production from Speakerbomb, there’s this slacker rock feel about it, with cut up vocal snatches pasted in along with tambourine and this shimmering guitar pushed right to the back, and all draped in this smoggy haze. Over the top the brothers set out plans for a very wild sounding night, showing out with some equally hazy sounding rhyming couplets.

Its accompanied by a suitably trippy video, with the help of director Guillermo Polo from Turanga Films.
