See: The Wicked Mercy reveal new video for ‘Fading Fast’

Ottawa quintet The Wicked Mercy are preparing to release their second full length records, Sundown, on December 4th via Bad Reputation. It wasn’t all plain sailing though, with guitarist Dave leaving his new Les Paul guitar in the back of a cab late at night. Thankfully, appearances throughout the country saw brief stardom and an eventual reunion with the instrument.

From it, the band have released a new video for Fading Fast. Right from the off, it’s muscular and driving, with the organ parts just adding a tinge of the 70s to the whole thing. As it unfurls, so the guitars alternate between wiry melodic lines and these splashes of psychedelic shimmers. Over the top vocalist Case Bronson (great name btw) delivers his lines with gruff sincerity, and no little melodic skill.

Check out the video here, featuring (not exclusively you understand) the said lost/found Les Paul.
