See: Tindersticks release new video for Willow

Taken from Stuart A Staples soundtrack for film maker Claire Denis’ film High Life, Tindersticks have released a new video for lead single ‘Willow’, before the soundtrack receives a physical release via City Slanf on May 3rd.

The film itself stars Robert Pattinson & Juliette Binoche & focuses on a group of criminals who are tricked into believing they will be freed if they travel on a spaceship to a black hole to find an alternate energy source while being sexually experimented on by scientists on board, and Pattinson provides vocals for Willow.

Its an atmospheric, cinematic thing, static strings ache and wring the emotion, while the bells glint as they herald the changes. As it gradually reveals itself, the palate is thickened with cold synth sounds, and twinking guitars. Pattinson himself does an admirable whispering Bowie over the top, focusing the whole thing into a emotive whole.

The video features footage from the movie to whet your appetite. Check it out, here
