Electronic superstar and master of diverse collabs Bonobo (aka Simon Green) shares the final single from the highly anticipated new album drop Fragments, ahead of its release via Ninja Tune this Friday. From You features the Brooklyn-based, fledgling lo-fi-er Joji and follows previous singles Tides with Jamila Woods and Shadows with Jordan Rakei, showing the album’s depth and diversity of collaboration.
Joji was deemed the “first music superstar of his kind” by Office Magazine, with his 2020 album Nectar debuting at No.3 in the Billboard 200, as well as No.1 on Spotify’s US Weekly Top 50 Albums chart. On ‘From You’ Joji lends beautifully melancholic vocals, which flow freely over the densely textured ballad. Reflecting on the track, Green says: “I remembered all over again how much I loved crowds and movement and people connecting with each other.”

From You follows on from two 2021 Grammy Nominations Green received for Best Dance/Electronic Recording, making him an incredible five-time Grammy nominee. Green has been nominated for Heartbreak, an energetic collaboration with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and the first single release on his own OUTLIER label imprint in partnership with Ninja Tune. The second nomination is for the atmospherically, low-key Loom – a collaboration between Bonobo and Ólafur Arnalds.
The new album will feature Joji, Kadhja Bonet, Jordan Rakei and O’Flynn. Born first out of fragments of ideas and experimentation, the album ultimately was fused together in a burst of creativity, fuelled by both collaboration and Green’s escape into the wild. One of the biggest names in dance music, Green’s career includes 3 Grammy nominations and 2 million fans attending the tour to support his 2017 album Migration. ‘Migration’ also reached #1 on Billboard’s Dance album chart and hit Top Ten positions in several countries, including a Top 5 at home in the UK. He’s also a favourite mainstage performer at the world’s greatest music festivals.
