Track: Brighton’s Ditz decry the low-paid, daily grind on the howlin’ ‘Ded Würst’

SICK to the back teeth of your arse of a job, bare minimum on the table for you to break your back for? Jesus, ain’t it the way. We’ve all been there, all dug out the hell of that kinda job; and here’s the latest single from ragin’ Sussex quintet Ditz, themselves sick of the grind; they decided to pick up some guitars, make an unholy noise about it. Good thing, too.

Singer Cal, who howls and growls and snarls his way through an impassioned articulation of dead-end wage slavery, matched only by similar grind and clangour from guitars so abrading that Albini would surely approve, says: “The consistent and logical rhythm recalls the working world and, for me particularly, the monotonous fast food kitchen experience.

“Lots of people have shite jobs that they have moral quibbles with and, with the pressure of wanting to have a positive impact on the world, it can become depressing knowing that you are actually part of the problem … for minimum wage.”

“Ded Würst” is the first teaser to emerge from next year’s debut album, more of which you can hear well, well before your less cool mates if you make shapes to catch them on tour over the next few weeks, the dates being as follows – for tickets, &c, pop over here:
