Adam Jollah

In the lead up to the release of her debut album The River Doesn’t Like Strangers on October 22nd via Native Rebel Recordings, saxophonist Chelsea Carmichael has shared her new track, ‘Bone & Soil’.

Of the track, Chelsea commented:

“‘Bone and Soil’ is an ode to one of my favourite poems by Nayyirah Waheed, titled ‘melanin | Bone and Soil’ It reads: We write from the body. / It remembers everything.”

An inspired piece that demands your full attention. Along with her gorgeous melodies the tracks features a divine bass solo from Tom Herbert and Edward Wakili-Hick keeping things in check with some solid drumming. Its an addictive track that breathes and flows providing a chilled out 5 minutes thats very much needed in todays fast paced society.
