Track: Chloe Mae’s entrancing new single ‘Falling’ is a delicately hazy, psych-folk dream

Rising Brisbane vocalist Chloe Mae has been enchanting listeners with her ethereal sound since the release of breakout single Flowers last year. Blending beautifully blooming, serenading vocals with melodic elements of psych-folk, Chloe’s delicate style returns with the release of new track Falling (produced by Aaron Shanahan – Miami Horror, Sunday) out now.

Emanating with an ethereal quality found in both her vocal tone and lyricism, Chloe Mae’s elegant, gently guitar-led music combines influences that range from folk to indie-rock, to create a sound uniquely her own. Chloe Mae’s lyrics aim to remind people of the beauty and wonder that can be found in nature, and the importance of using our connection to the earth to find peace within ourselves.

“‘Falling’ is a message from Mother Nature. The songs intention is to show people struggling with love and relationships that bringing their focal interests back to nature and beautiful creations can bring serenity and peace to the mind. It aims to show that there is more to life than just a relationship. Whether that is trees, music, birds, spirituality or anything else that brings peace and happiness to ones inner self and comes with no complications.” –Chloe Mae

Falling gently weaves choruses of wisping psychedelic energy between indie-rock percussion, strumming guitars and grounding bass. Mae’s soul filled vocals rise, fall and harmonise throughout, building a beautiful Twin Peaks, Lana-esque dreamscape. So lay back, softly close your eyes and listen to Falling, available to stream everywhere right now.
