Seattle based Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio have announced details of their sophomore album. ‘I told you so’ is out on Colemine Records on January 29th next year, and ahead of it they released the first single ‘Call your Mom’.

Made up of self taught virtuoso Delvin Lamarr, guitarist Jimmy James and The Sextones drummer Dan Weiss, the trio live and breathe the epitome of the organ trio on ‘Call your Mom’. With a whiff of Jimmy Smith here and a nod towards Grant Green there, all driven along by these huge, tight drums and the shadow of Booker T nodding along, the track is all strut, but a suited and booted ‘look at me’ style strut that could have come from anytime in the last 50 years. Simple, classic and unfailingly brilliant.
