Track: Drab City – Devil Doll

Recently signed to Bella Union, duo Drab City have released a track from the their forthcoming debut album ‘Good Songs for Bad People’, which drops on June 12th.

Is a slow burning, stripped back slice of jazz / indie (yeah, really). It has this sort of a sense of Portishead about it, the jazzy chords augmented by flute and vibes interjections, and a liberal amount of echo spread over everything. The vocal, soft and breathy but lovely in itself, is further heightened by the immediacy and intimacy of the melodies.
