Track: East Harbour – Miss The Old You

We need something upbeat in these pressing times, don’t we? Maybe we are at that point where modern pop music is actually a respite from what’s going on around the world.

It doesn’t get more unabashed when it comes to a pop single with East Harbour‘s new track, “Miss The Old You.”

Formed back in 2014 in the small town of Vero Beach, FL, East Harbor has spent the past few years perfecting their sound & playing numerous live shows.

The four-piece (consisting of Josh Dobson, Robby Staggs, David Gonzales, and Cory Kouns) has headlined several shows (including Jensen Beach’s Pineapple Festival) and opened up for many bands such as Ballyhoo.

Part The 1975 and part The Kooks, East Harbour bring that certain bright-light indie that one has become accustomed to in recent years as it’s “butter wouldn’t melt” positivity has become very much a fundamental in pop music.

Not that it’s a bad thing when it’s done right (see: The 1975) and East Harbour manage to do it right, with those laconic disco-like drumbeats and a hypnagogic, overriding melody that is less narcotic and more a lovely cup of warm tea.

“Miss The Old You” is out now.

Previous Track: Bishop Nehru - Meathead (feat. MF DOOM)
