Track: Eep – Hogar

It seems shoegaze/dream pop bands are flourishing in the south of the US at the moment. We were highly impressed by Tan Cologne from New Mexico, and now Eep, from El Paso, Texas have released an epic single ‘Hogar’: a shimmering wall of noise with singer/guitarist/synth Rosie Varela’s floating vocals weaving in and out of the reverb-soaked guitars and pounding rhythm section.

There is a light and ethereal vibe throughout the wall of noise and spanish vocals add to the enigma:

The song is off the band’s forthcoming album ‘Death of a Very Good Machine’ which is available for pre-order from this Friday (3 July 2020) for release on 24 July 2020.

Eep is Ross Ingram, Rosie Varela, Sebastian Estrada, Serge Carrasco, and Lawrence Brown III. Self-described as ‘eclectic’, this is a band that has come together as a result of solid songwriting and musicianship and the future looks brighter than the sun on the southern US border.
