17-year-old Kansas singer-songwriter Evann McIntosh (they/them) announces exciting new album Character Development will be released on 27 August through Mom+Pop Music.
Written and recorded primarily in the rising star’s suburban bedroom, the 13-track collection mixes dark alt-pop and ethereal R&B with some hip-hop, jazz, and funk added to the mix. It’s an intimate tale of self-expression as it addresses themes of growth and evolution, gender identity, sexuality and freedom. The album paints a poignant and revealing portrait of modern adolescence, from an artist exploring their own unique psyche with every song.
The new single NOBODY ELSE is a sweet, R&B tinged track about the excitement of being in a healthy relationship. The light hearted music video perfectly encapsulates the singer’s confident spirit and charming individuality.
