Track: Fremantle’s Spacey Jane unveil the melodic blissed out track ‘Lots of Nothing’

Spacey Jane have been developing quite a reputation in Australia since their debut album ‘Sunlight’ was released last year, and on the basis of their new track ‘Lots of Nothing’, you can see something intergalactic on the boil.

‘Lots of Nothing’ is a blissed out jangling sparkling beauty of a track filled with yearning and vulnerability. There is something quintessentially antipodean about them – the mix of raw passion and the ability to create an indelible atmosphere in the music. Along with fellow compatriots such as Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, RVG, Quivers and The Goon Sax (to name but a few) the band has an unerring ability to create shimmering sparkling sounds with an Australian vernacular and sky reaching melodies that chime and blossom.

Lead singer Caleb Harper says of the themes of the new track:

‘Lots of Nothing’ is about wrestling with the parts of yourself that you don’t like and how you can see those traits as a whole other person. It’s about trying to accept all the parts of yourself, good and bad, before you are able to work on the person that you want to become

‘Lots of Nothing’s ranging expansive melodies and expressive singing are carried by a bedrock of muted guitars and scaling instrumental layers that ascend to celestial heights as the song builds.

The simple perfomance video captures an enigmatic perfomance:

This is very exciting stuff indeed. You can download/stream the single here.
