Gyze are a Japanese folk metal band that entwine traditional Japanese instruments with modern. The band have shared the video for track ‘Samurai Metal’ which was written on a Shamisen (Japanese traditional string instrument) and performed in both English and Japanese.
Insane guitar work dominates this track as well as a healthy slice of growling from bass player Aruta. The tracks main theme has Japanese feel to it not surprisingly and features an impressive string instrument trade off solo between the new and traditional instruments.
