Track: Lyfe Indoors – Put you down

Mysterious (or at least anonymous) bedroom pop project Lyfe Indoors has return with a new single, Put you down. Operating since 2014 and spending long Summer’s indoors writing (hence the name), it’s taken from an album to be released later in the year.

Of the track Lyfe Indoors says “Did I miss the chance, for some Marble Hands?  And that light in the distance, shining off ‘Coming Soon'” – this quote relates to longing for something in the future.  In this case, ‘Marble Hands’ refers to building yourself a legacy.  Statues and sculptures of ancient history, crafted from marble slabs, have been a sign of planting yourself in legacy for thousands of years ahead.  Missing the chance of “Marble Hands” is to question whether or not you did something good enough to last beyond your own lifetime.  It’s a reference to the concept behind the “Marble Hands”

The warm that emanates from ‘Put you down’, with these dark synths pouring over you, immediately sets you at ease, and then a combination of ethereal, almost whispered lyrics and other synth lines that are allowed to bleed into eachother captures your heart.
