Adelaide indie-folk artist, Naomi Keyte, has released the tender and picturesque music video to accompany her single Greenhill, released earlier this month. Written and performed by Keyte, with backing vocals and guitar by Ben Talbot-Dunn, this is a beautifully simple and softly intimate indie track about a share house in lockdown.
The accompanying video has seen support from NME and Scenestr, with the track already on rotation on Triple J, Double J, and community radio across Australia and more. The clip was predominantly shot in the gorgeous rural surrounds of an abandoned apple orchid in Summertown, Adelaide. It provides the perfect, wholesome setting for Keyte’s reflection on the past year – people, possessions and moments that make a home special, particularly in difficult times.
Shot and edited by George Graetz and with help from Tom Symes and Rosina Possingham, the music video is a gorgeous montage representing the simple joys in life that make it fulfilling.
Naomi Keyte has already been recognized for her sensitive yet vivid style of music storytelling, having received nominations for Best Folk, Best Female Artist, Best Release at the 2017 Music SA Awards. Greenhill, like Keyte’s previous releases, has been well-received with support and accolades from Triple J, Double J and community radio, as well as landing on five Apple Music playlists. The single is also a first, welcome taste of what will be her highly-anticipated sophomore album, still currently in the works and which we cannot wait to hear.
