Track: Sydney-based punk quarter Fangz release the thumping, visceral ‘Won’t Be Me’ and announce Australian tour.

With a sonic blast clearing out the spaces between your ears, the consistently exuberant Fangz have just released their new single ‘Won’t Be Me’ – a vibrant slice of scything melodic punk that skates along with an irresistible force and determination. A sky-high chorus and insistent, pounding rhythm makes for something quite exhilarating, like a runaway train without brakes.

Singer Joshua Cottreau says of the track:

‘Won’t Be Me’ is about staying in a relationship with someone you love even though it seems destined to fail. It follows the thought process and battle of knowing when to let go of the person you care for. I guess it’s a breakup song and a love song at the same time.

This is a cathartic and energising sound – sweet melodies with a gritty, grinding, barbed wire edge.

The release accompanies news that the band will be undertaking a comprehensive national tour of Australia (well, except for poor old Tasmania). All relevant information is below and details and ticket available here.
