Track: Teenage Wrist – Dweeb

“That song and the record in general in my mind is about growing up and realizing that the world around you isn’t necessarily the one that you thought it would be,” says Teenage Wrist’s guitarist/vocalist Marshall Gallagher of their new track Dweeb, taken from the bands forthcoming debut album. It’s this melancholic but melodic track, fused between driving drums, swirls of shoegazey guitar noise and Nirvana-esque solo lines, but it’s emotive quality and the instantly memorable melody drag it along with you.

Its taken from the L.A. based trio’s debut album Chrome Neon Jesus, out via Epitaph records, with whom they signed last Autumn. The band throw out their influences molding elements of punk and alt-rock along with those shoegaze moments into something fresh and immediate.
