Track: The Clockworks are back with the snarling and vibrant single ‘Feels So Real’

The Clockworks have been building up a very impressive resume over the last 12 months and their new single ‘Feels So Real is a clear indication this is set to continue. Signed to the legendary Alan McGee’s new label It’s Creation Baby, the band has an assured future and a stylish confidence that is electric.

The lyrical poetry vocals provide the dynamism and sheer power of the track – the snarling, contemptuous style of delivery gives a brutal edge.

Speaking about the track, James McGregor from The Clockworks says:

The idea for this song was to soundtrack a certain feeling, a rapture or excitement, for the lyrics to set the scene and the music to set the feeling. This song is essentially about how all the things that make up the city; the good, the bad and the ugly are all what make it exciting… In a way it could be about finding hope in hopeless circumstances.

With an instrumentation that is fluid and dynamic with a buzzsaw guitar and insistent rhythm section, the vocals are declarative and visceral: this is a band with verve and style and a rock’n’roll attitude.
