Colne, Lancashire band The Milltown Brothers showed their hand with the brilliant ’Slinky’ album almost 30 years ago, with a string of brilliant singles – Which way should i jump / Apples Green and the like. Sporadically active since, but nothing since 2005’s self-released Long Road.
Now though, they’re back. A fifth album is in the pipeline, but prior to that they’ve released a new single, Stockholm. The boys have lost none of their ability to write killer tunes, and the chiming guitars and steady swagger which the track moves with is just impossibly catchy.
