Track: Tove Styrke – On the Low, plus album and tour news

We first noticed Swedish singer Tove Styrke nearly four years ago when she released the dynamic, feisty electro pop “Even If I’m Loud It Doesn’t Mean I’m Talking To You”. It is no surprise to see how she has developed into a major international force since those early days. Having just finished touring with Lorde to great acclaim, she is about to embark on a tour with Katy Perry and has released a new single, “On The low’ from her forthcoming album “Sway” due for release on 4 May 2018.

The single is a sure sign of her development as an artist: a restrained, sophisticated and atmospheric song showcasing her gorgeous voice with simple electronic layers and heavenly harmonies:

Styrke says of the song: “If ‘Sway’ is a body of work, ‘On The Low’ is like the heart. It’s the smallest song in terms of how it sounds but in another way it’s the biggest. It’s just a straight up love song, but what else do you really need.”

You can stream/buy the single here.

Styrke is currently touring Australia before she joins Katy Perry in Cologne – an incredible opportunity for Australia to see her in relatively intimate venues:
