22 year old London born rapper Uzzee is set to release his debut EP, Evolution, next week and from it he’s streaming the emotion filled electro of TYT, or Take Your Time. He’s drafted in some hot producers to work their magic over the release, with young UK producer Jelacee of Stooki Sound, Hawaiian based Mr Carmack and Texan Eric Dingus all providing little specks of magic for Uzzee’s dark baritone to deliver over.
Take Your Time starts with this gently pulsating electro beats (provided in this instance by Jelacee) but it soon catches your breath by dropping out altogether, before these slow moving almost elegiac synths slowly move through their changes. The beats come back, first rippling, before then providing this dizzying, enclosed accompaniment. Over the top Uzzee’s rhymes wipe their feet over the RnB flavoured mats laid down, as he details his efforts to breathe hope into a tumultuous relationship.
Evolution is out on September 8th.
