Latvian born, London residing DJ and producer XYPO, aka Janis Dzenis is back with a new track, Attracted, available to grab for free, gratis, if you like your house music funky and (slightly in this case) deep. It follows the similarly funky and decidedly old school Can you Feel, that dropped back in February.
Attracted mixes up the genres a bit, opening with this slightly obscured, submerged feeling, before it slowly comes in from the cold and into full sight. There’s something of the classic house record about it, dropping bubbling electronics in with classic piano house chords and driving beat that creeps in and drops out. Add the sax part laying down fragments of tune and you’ve just about covered all bases as far as the dancefloor is concerned. Add it a liberal smattering of euphoric build ups and vocal cut ups as it continues to develop, and there’s a sure fire winner on your hands.
