Over their 9-year career, Brontide wrapped up several critically acclaimed releases and toured extensively, playing to captivated audiences around the UK, Europe and US. Their release of ‘Artery’ in 2014 saw them cement themselves as an influential band in the post-rock scene, along with wide-spread critical acclaim.  Clash described the album as “wholly bracing, carefully nuanced” and DIY called it “both inherently melodic and genre-spanning”.

Their farewell show back in 2017 was the perfect celebration of the band’s achievements and saw members go onto incredible roles within music- Bassist Nathan Fairweather is a member of Rolo Tomassi, who have become arguably one of the most unique and influential heavy bands in the UK today.  Drummer, William Bowerman went on to become a musical director and co-founder of WFB Live – the award-winning musical direction company that has directed tours and performances for the likes of Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Elton John, Kylie Minogue and BLACKPINK to name a few. Finally, Guitarist Tim Hancock moved to Los Angeles where he landed a role at Fender. His work for their learning platform, Fender Play has helped millions of new players begin a musical journey of their own.

However, 7 years on, members William Bowerman, Nathan Fairweather and Tim Hancock are rejoining forces to continue from where they left off to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Artery’ and play their only UK show at this year’s ArctanGent Festival.
