Diamond-certified and award-winning artist The Weeknd has officially announced the 2024 Australian dates for his record-breaking After Hours Til Dawn Tour, following its success in 2022/2023. the newly added Australian leg of the tour is set to commence on Saturday, October 5, in Melbourne with consecutive shows, before moving on to Sydney for performances on October 22 and 23 at Accor Stadium. These dates will mark The Weeknd’s debut stadium performances in Australia and his first visit to the region since 2017.

“I feel a strong pull to perform in Australia before moving on to the next chapter and want to make sure you all know I hadn’t forgotten about you. When I return now, it will be the right time, and I promise it will be such a special experience. I can’t wait to see you all!” – The Weeknd

Filtered through the lens of his own making, The Weeknd has redefined the boundaries of R&B and pop, not by following trends, but by setting them. With 104.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he’s held the crown for the highest number of monthly listeners for over two years, a testament to his pervasive influence. In 2023, the Guinness Book of World Records named him “The Most Popular Artist in the World.”. His 2020 album ‘After Hours’ is the most streamed R&B album ever, with his 2016 album ‘Starboy’ trailing just behind. And then there’s ‘Blinding Lights’—a song that did more than top charts. It redefined them, becoming the RIAA-certified Diamond track that finally dethroned Chubby Checker’s 1960 hit ‘The Twist’ as the new No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 song of all time.
