Do you like riffs? Do you like high energy classic rock with a modern edge? Then you might’ve just found yourselves a new favourite band. US rockers LoveSick Radio are blessing everyone’s ears with their new track I Need A Little.
Opening with one of the catchiest riffs in a while, the track has a cool blues edge to it but has all the core elements of a classic rock banger (think AC/DC vs Black Stone Cherry). The band treat us in the pre chorus to some infectious “oohs” and with a statement of “I need a little more tequila and time?” I mean… who doesn’t need more tequila?! Pass me the lime!!!
Coming in at just under 3 minutes, it is an irresistable rock ditty and will have you repeating the chorus for the rest of the day, it has a edgy festival vibe to it and would perfectly suit the Main Stage at Download Festival, are you listening Andy Copping?
Lead vocalist Troy Brown states about I Need A Little; “The idea was to create a song that had a rock and roll swagger that felt so good you couldn’t help but transcend the past few years of isolation. Musically its a party…. lyrically it’s a cry for help, and in some ways, a call to action to get together and feel something real and alive….to move past the cold and calculated “virtual hugs” and just grab a drink with a friend.“
