Australia’s festival scene has been on one lately. From the tree-lined magic of Strawberry Fields to the community spirit of Meredith and the chaos of Beyond the Valley, it seems like every month has another reason to pack your tent, charge your phone, and road trip into the great unknown. If you’ve been lurking on Instagram stories and quietly questioning your life choices, Meadow 2025 is here to tip you over the edge.

Set in the rolling Bambra hills on Gulidjan, Gadubanud, and Wadawurrung land, Meadow has quietly built a reputation for delivering one of the best boutique festival experiences in the country. But this year, the stakes are higher – it’s their last-ever festival. Meadow is signing off for good, and their final lineup proves they’re going out in style.

The heavyweights are there: Hiatus Kaiyote, Pond, MJ Lenderman & The Wind, and Empress Of headline the weekend, joined by a stack of talent like Kaiit, Floodlights, ORB, and Marcellus Pittman. This year’s lineup sees a heavy representation from Victoria’s Surf Coast and Otway Hinterlands, with a full local stage hosted at the Retreat Creek Hotel.

Think Surf Coast krautrock punks De Porsal, Apollo Bay’s avant-garde trio Boggle, and Geelong’s soulful Daisy Kilbourne. Internationally, Japan’s garage rock legends Guitar Wolf are stepping in to unleash their high-octane chaos, while French DJ duo Pureblast (formerly Baraka) add some live electronic to the proceedings. The James Range Band, featuring members of the Pitjantjatjara community of Central Australia, will also take the stage.

Meadow’s final act feels like a love letter to everything that makes these bush doofs and boutique festivals so special. It’s intimate, eclectic, and inherently tied to the land it calls home. With camping, BYO drinks, and the chance to catch a sunset over the Bambra Bowl for the last time, it’s shaping up to be one hell of a farewell.

Tickets are $298 + BF, and if you’re lucky enough to be under 12, you get in free (with an adult, obviously). General release is on sale now, but if you’re still on the fence, remember this: there won’t be another Meadow to mull over. This is it!
