Emerging onto the alternative rock scene with a surge of electric energy, President Elect is set to captivate music lovers with their highly anticipated new single, ‘Coffee Song‘. Comprised of Iggy Waller (vocals and bass), Vincent Barulis (lead guitar), Jude Crook (rhythm guitar), and Zak Waller (drums), this four-piece ensemble has quickly garnered attention as a rising star in the music world.

The band’s distinctive fusion of melodic hooks, relatable lyricism, and a nostalgic essence reminiscent of late ’90s and early 2000s alternative rock results in a unique and inviting pop-rock sound. Produced by Tayte Nickols (known for work with Lissy Taylor, Dana Luna, The Sheratons) and mastered by Katie Tavini of Weird Jungle (credited for work with Bloc Party, We Are Scientists, Arlo Parks), President Elect’s ‘Coffee Song’ exemplifies their signature style.

The new single is a testament to their songwriting prowess, featuring youthful pop-punk-tinged melodies set against a backdrop of powerful drums, driving bass, and layers of synths and distorted guitars, creating a high-energy yet commercially accessible sound. Speaking about the single, the band shared, “It is a song about relationship struggles and modern-day love, but also about being so tired and caught up that you’re ‘running on coffee’—something most people can relate to, certainly us as a band can.”

‘Coffee Song’ showcases President Elect’s versatility, offering a brighter melody and a lighter energy compared to their debut single, ‘REBOUND,’ while still maintaining their goal of delivering energetic tunes that leave listeners humming their songs.

Known for their dynamic and sought-after live performances, President Elect has sold out venues across London and graced the stages of UK festivals, including Vale Fest. As the band continues to gain momentum, they are gearing up for an exciting UK tour in support of their latest music release.

With coverage pouring in from reputable sources like Alfitude, Illustrated Magazine, and IGGY Magazine, President Elect has also received support from BBC Introducing, Sirius XM, Future Hits Radio, and more.

As the buzz around President Elect continues to grow, the band consistently proves their status as a rising force in the music industry. Stay tuned for more electrifying tunes and captivating performances as President Elect cements their place as one to watch.
