Manchester Psych Fest have today confirmed the full line up for the annual festival and added a fourth venue, The Peer Hat, to the Northern Quarter-based festival to make it the biggest edition of Manchester Psych Fest to date.

Sheffield noise-rock trio Baba Naga, all-female four-piece Madonnatron, King Khan’s daughter Saba Lou, London’s Creatures & Meatraffle conclude this year’s lineup of over 20 live artists. The festival has also added Northern Quarter venue The Peer Hat, joining Band on the Wall, Night & Day Café and Soup Kitchen in hosting stages.

Integral to the festival’s ethos is bringing more females in to psychedelic music and art, making a conscious effort to book female artists, musicians and DJs. In this edition of the festival, organisers have built upon last year’s success, with a high percentage of the lineup featuring either all female or female led acts. It’s also an all-female cast for the festivals artistic direction as Manchester Psych Fest confirm they will work with local artists Louise Rivett, Jane Bowyer & Natalie Wardle to commission exhibitions, digital visuals and performing arts to be displayed across the festival site.

The festival will also feature a number of local food stalls, DJs and an afterparty taking place at Night & Day Café, which is free for all festival ticket holders.
