Singer-songwriter Maggie Cubillos has released a new original holiday song, titled ‘A Colder Christmas (Live)’.
Regarding the track Cubillos comments:
“A Colder Christmas is about all the melancholy emotions you may feel during the holiday season. The holidays are filled with so much love, but sometimes it’s hard not to think about the differences between the current year and the past. People come and go and environments change, which can be so difficult to navigate, but the holiday season also brings about new beginnings and is a huge time for reflection. I wrote this song when I needed it most and I hope it can help whoever may be struggling this holiday season to realize the new year is a fresh start.”
Strong piano chords sit under Cubillos’s angelic vocals on this sweet Christmas song. From the slow build up, the track adds a simple drum beat to accompany the piano, buts it’s the gorgeous vocals that really spread the fire side warmth.
