As 2017 gets into its groove, it’s time for another Bloodstock announcement! Four more bands have been announced for the metal festival, which will take place at Derbyshire’s Catton Park on August 10th-13th.

First to be added to the line-up are Swedish metallers Soilwork– who have been confirmed for a main stage slot. Frontman Björn ‘Speed’ Strid had this to say about their appearance; “We are really thrilled to return to UK soil after a killer mini-tour with Arch Enemy last year. Bloodstock is always a riot and we cannot wait to hit the stage this summer. Bring it England!”

Meanwhile, on the Sophie Lancaster stage, murder metal band Macabre are set for a headline slot. Alongside Macabre are Finland’s Wintersun, who have also been announced to headline the same stage, and they say that Bloodstock has a great atmosphere; “It’ll be great to come back to the atmospheric Bloodstock  We had a blast in 2011, but this year is extra special since we’re going to play new music for you guys!  See ya in August!”

Joining Soilwork, Macabre and Wintersun, and hailing all the way from Egypt no less, are Scarab, who are also playing the Sophie stage. You can hear a sample of their music here in the form of Serpents Of The Nile.

Standard tickets for Bloodstock are available now at £139 (plus booking fee). However, there is a ticket deposit plan in place, which helps to break up the payment of your ticket into five smaller and more manageable sums- all you have to do is sign up in the ticket store before February 28th with an initial payment of £34.80. You can view all the info about the deposit plan here.

Already announced for Bloodstock are Amon Amarth and Megadeth, Friday and Sunday’s headliners respectively. These bands will be joined by Hatebreed, Testament, Skindred, Whitechapel, Municipal Waste, Annihilator, Hell and Decapitated- to name a few!
