News: Chiodos Pull Out Of The Blackout UK Tour

The Blackout have never been a band that have had much luck; last year they had to cancel a number of dates mid-tour due to vocalist Gavin being taken ill during a show. Unfortunately, this year has been no different. Just a month before the first date of their tour to support their new EP, Wolves, their main support- American alternative rock band Chiodos- have had to pull out.

Chiodos released a statement regarding their recent line up changes; Derrick Frost and Matt Goddard, drummer and bassist respectively, both announced their departure from the band earlier this month.

‘We hate cancelling shows more than anything. It’s not secret that Chiodos is going through some changes. Unfortunately, the same thing is keeping us from doing this run. UK we will be back!’

So there’s no hard feelings, and it’s just an unfortunate twist of fate resulting in Chiodos not being able to hit the road with the Blackout and When We Were Wolves this autumn. However, all is not lost- Scottish post-hardcore band Yashin have stepped in at the last minute!

Drummer Gareth Lawrence tweeted ‘So, as the Blackout motto goes: if it CAN go wrong, it WILL go wrong! Chiodos are gonners from the tour but Yashin are in, which rules!!!’

So, here’s the updated tour poster, including a list of the dates you can catch the Blackout with newly announced support Yashin.

Wolves is out October 27th through the Kickstarter Campaign.tbo tour
