First up I feel duty bound as a doctor of punk rock, that smoking is bad for you and almost certainly won’t increase the size of your boobs. However, what you will get from listening to the Bolton/Salford 4 piece, is a blend of high energy riot grrrl influenced post-punk, humour and political comment. Oh and kazoos!!
Not many bands will regale you with a song called “My Favourite Fact About Maggie (Thatcher)”, you can probably guess what the punchline is!!
Singer Helen Taylor has taken elements of her teenage loves [No Doubt, Garbage and Skunk Anansie] and injected them into her performances, evolving into one of the most engaging vocalists currently on the scene. It’s high octane stuff. But don’t take my word for it, check out the videos and then shoehorn them into your Rebellion schedule.
