Golden Robot Records are proud to announce the signing of esteemed Australian band, The Badloves.

With Michael Spiby at the helm, The Badloves are continuing to enjoy a career that has spanned almost 30 years with their success being traced all the way back to their 1993 debut album Get On Board. The album saw the music industry and fans alike ‘get on board’ with The Badloves, resulting in an incredible 69 weeks on the charts with a peak position of #5 as well as double platinum sales and ARIA nominations to follow. The album included tracks ‘Green Limousine,’ ‘Lost‘ and ‘The Weight‘ featuring Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes. This set the precedent for the success that was expected when you heard the name “The Badloves.”

In 1995 The Badloves released their second album Holy Roadside which debuted within the top 15 on the charts, received further ARIA nominations and cemented the band as a force, not a fluke. The following years saw the release of albums like Everybody Everywhere, The Mushroom Tapes and their more recent 2016 album Raw Honey.

With the 30 year anniversary of their debut album coming up next year, The Badloves are showing no signs of weathering, still boasting over 100,000 listeners on Spotify and thousands of followers across social media platforms, they’ve adapted to the new age and have a whole lot of music left to sing. The band is heading to a converted church in December to record something special, with the band, management and Golden Robot Records brainstorming innovative ways to make this work better than ever, with proposals of limited edition merchandise and exclusive releases.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have one of the most iconic bands in the country on our roster. This is significant timing for The Badloves, with a real air of celebration – get ready for some special releases coming out in 2023′ says Mikela Meli, General Manager at Golden Robot Global Entertainment Group.

With The Badloves signing to Golden Robot Records, the legacy of the band is only solidified. Keep your eyes on the horizon with big announcements coming soon!
