It’s all coming out of Scotland at the moment, masses of ‘next big things’ sending their catchy, if rather jagged, indie pop our way. Latest in the long line is Edinburgh’s Ded Rabbit, and their new track Only Dating. Written after watching The Imitation Game, its a bawdy, swaggering piece of singalong pop – ridiculously catchy, and swathed in vocal harmonies as soon as it hits the chorus.
Destined for big things, fans of comparing bands with other bands can lump them in with the likes of Little Comets and Catfish and the Bottlemen, at least according to the press release, and I’ll throw a little bit of Weezer in with it as well, just for good measure.
