Hot on the heels of the release of their album Majesty, which dropped on Soundway records back in June, Psych rockers Flamingods have released the title track and album opener as a new single. Kamal Rasool from the London five piece explains the track as “Majesty is soaked in Eastern Mysticism; the idea that we were and still are to a degree in tune with the mystic power of nature…It tells the story of someone who is living a lucid dream, searching for the truth and finding it within them-self and that around them.”

That lucid dream is evident from the very outset, as it has this wispy, almost reticent feel about it, as these two guitar chords rock back and forwards and the vocals, shrouded in echo, float over the top of everything else – handclaps, shuffling drums and this tinny cymbal, as it gently takes hold of you and allows you to immerse yourself within it. Lovely stuff.
