august at night unveils his latest single, ‘Greyhound’. True to form, the track envelops listeners in a world of introspection and emotion, weaving a narrative of love and longing with the signature warmth and empathy.

From the opening notes of the rhythmic nylon acoustic guitar, august’s soft, fragilic vocals and distant piano melodies, ‘Greyhound’ develops into a subtle rolling tom beat in its chorus. His delicate vocal performance serves as the vessel for a poignant story, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in the bittersweet journey of the heart. Comparable to early Sufjan Stevens and José González, the track is like a warming blanket in winter.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind ‘Greyhound,’ august shares, “Some things are a return. Like that reminder of the deeper truth in every song, in every piece of art. A little glimpse of who you were and who you’re becoming. That thing that remains. This song, for me, is that return.”

Since emerging onto the scene, august has captivated audiences with his soulful brand of folk music, using his songs to explore themes of life, heartbreak, and desire with a sense of authenticity.

With ‘Greyhound,’ august at night continues to showcase his abilities to craft delicate, emotive soundscapes.
